A Note From Our Founder

In simplicity lies the ultimate sophistication.

Dear Friend,

Life has a peculiar way of teaching us what truly matters. In 1998, with nothing but a small loan and big dreams, I started Royal Textiles. Back then, I wasn't thinking about building a brand – I was thinking about building a future for my family. Every morning, as I walked into our modest workshop, I carried with me the weight of their dreams and the determination to make them reality.

That determination bore its first fruit in 2000 when I could finally move my family into our own home. It wasn't much by today's standards, but to us, it was everything. Those early years taught me something invaluable: in a world obsessed with instant success, it's the 'boring' virtues – consistency, patience, and unwavering dedication to quality – that truly matter.

Life tested this lesson repeatedly. The 2008 financial crisis wiped out our market investments, threatening everything we'd built. I remember sitting at our dining table, looking into my children's eyes, and making a promise – not just to recover, but to rebuild stronger, focusing on what I knew best: creating quality textiles. By 2014, we had transformed our traditional handloom operation into a modern factory.

Then came June 2025. A severe health crisis landed me in the ICU for a week. Lying there, watching my family worried at my bedside, I realized something profound: success means nothing if it comes at the cost of your health and happiness. My children suggested a new direction – one that would honor our expertise in textiles while building something more sustainable. That's when Boring Label was born.

Why 'Boring'? Because in a world of endless hype and empty promises, we choose to be different. We choose to be honest. We choose to let our products speak through their quality rather than through flashy marketing. Every Supima cotton garment we create carries within it over 27 years of experience, a family's dedication to excellence, and a promise of unwavering quality.

This isn't just about clothes. It's about choosing substance over show, quality over hype, and authenticity over artifice. It's about building something that matters, something that lasts. When you wear Boring Label, you're not just wearing a garment – you're wearing our story, our values, and our commitment to excellence.

With gratitude and hope,

Sushil Goenka
